If you or anyone else ever reads this and wants to figure it out by themselves the file package(rar) is called M2_server_Alpha and can be found on some dodgy download sites where someone forgot about their existence, i think there's a youtube video with a link to it as well if you search stuff like "mercenaries 2 online coop" or smth. Sure thing mate in any case i just found the files on my pc, only thing we would have to do is figure out how it works. Currently don't have anyone to play it with, but if find someone i will let you know. Might be a pain in the ass to find it again so make sure you do intend to play it if you want me to find them :)Īfaik only complaint/issue we had was my friend's progress didn't seem to save upon rejoining but we only got to try it once so i can't confirm it always happens. If you really wish to try it feel free to add me and i'll see if i can still find those files somewhere. If you want to try setting it up sometime i'm down to try it :) curious on how you got mercs 2 to run coop, that ♥♥♥♥ was fun as hell playing with another person It was quite a hassle, i think we combined some modded files from a guy's outdated youtube video with other similar files we eventually found by searching our asses off and somehow got it to work using Radmin. A horrendus bug that totally ruins an otherwise superb co-op experience. Originally posted by Xstioph:Found a dll (IIRC) that claimed to fix it at one point but it didn't work for us. If you want to try setting it up sometime i'm down to try it :) I didn't know about Radmin until recently, maybe it's fairly new still. I personally never had succes with tunngle tbh, i tried it a few times in the past but always had to resort to hamachi or gameranger. I even managed to get mercenaries 2 working through radmin and some shady coop mod someone made originally intended for actual LAN coop, i don't know how all of that software works but it often gets the job done. In any other old (tactical shooter) game hamachi or gameranger used to do the trick, however when those failed Radmin somehow works. Honestly i haven't tried yet, i rarely have time to play nowadays so i can't get my buddies to pick this up and try it.
□♂️ Last time me and friends played we used tunngle but I thought that service had shut down. And I thought hamachi turned into bloatware aaaages ago. Try googling something like "vegas 2 infinite gunshot fix" and hopefully a mod might pop up. It was and never will be fixed sadly, maybe there's a community mod you could try. It makes multiplayer unplayable.Īnyone have a fix? I remember that being an issue since the early days, playing this as a kid while the servers were still up.
The enemy gunshot will keep playing indefinitely for everyone besides the host and it is deafening. Originally posted by Xiddy:Is anyone else having an audio issue when playing multiplayer? We tried a private Terrorist Hunt but every player, besides the host, got an audio bug when encountering the first enemy.
